Barn

This barn is our studio and has provided us with a wonderful environment to work in.

The barn structure originally stood in the next door village of Ashdon.

It was to be dismantled and we were asked if we wanted any oak from it, to which we replied “we’d like to whole lot please”.

We painted numbers on all the timber structure, to enable us to easily re-erect it again, dismantled the barn and re-pegged it back together in Radwinter.

It has been traditionally clad in lime plaster on timber lath and weatherboarded.

The long straw thatch roof was reinstated and underfloor heating was installed below a brick floor.

We have a double height space where we have meetings and a high level mezzanine provides views over the Farmers fields while we sit at our work desks.
